Cartmel Village Shop - Sticky Toffee Pudding

A must for any visit to Cartmel in South Lakeland (after the huge priory) has to be the Cartmel Village Shop. You can buy some of the famous Sticky Toffee Pudding which has been created here since 1989. So successful has the enterprise been that the village shop has had to stop making other produce and concentrate solely on puddings, opening a purpose built kitchen in the grounds of the family house in 2000. They now export all over europe and the Lake District of course :)
